About the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica:
Saint Therese of the Little Flower was born in Lisieux, France, and is one of the most famous saints, as well as having been proclaimed a Doctor of the Church. She is honored here in this Basilica which has many beautiful attractions, notably the altar made of Carrara marble that was imported from Italy.
The eight-sided building is designed to reflect the 8th day of the week….the day of the Resurrection.
A parish church, it has daily and weekend Masses. There is also a gift shop on location.
